so here begins my experience with online dating. so far, no meetings. but great conversations!
1st thought: this is going to be the creepiest thing ever. everyone is going to be like: “dtf, top? bottom? i can host.”
2nd thought: wow, how self-esteem building! let’s ask hilarious questions because i still think someone is probably going to lynch me!
example:
him: hey
me: Hey! What’s up?
I’m totally new to this online dating business. Been on any exciting first dates?! Hope you’re having a great summer!
him: hahaha i have meet up with a few ppl. one guy turned out to be a creep, another goes to UMass and was cool, others have been just fb friends and thats it really. Do you go to school? And summer is almost over!
me: haha yep, i’m studying psychology and literary arts over in providence, ri! it’s a good time!
ahaha! oh no! how do you tell if someone is a creep or not? i’m afraid i won’t be able to tell these things! also, what about the requirements about meeting someone in irl? rape whistles?! public + safe spaces? :)

him: hahaha yes everyone is always hesitant about meeting up and stuff, def always public! hahaha “rape whistles”. I try to add ppl on fb first though bc thats where you can tell the most about ppl. through their walls and stuff. Well im going to be a freshman at umass amherst! im so excited but as for the summer just working! and going to this gay club called Machine in boston, they just started doing 18+ in June, its the 2nd and 4th friday of each month, good times, i do want to go down to Providence! i heard Mirabar or wer was suppose to be fun times. I have a couple of friends going to PC actually so i will def have to go visit them!
3rd thought: this is terrible! i just friended someone on fb, and then they rejected me, defriended me, and stop talking to me all together. how disempowering?
4th thought: whatever, i still got mad bitches on ma dick! let’s message all night back! (i have like 20+ people in my inbox — around 30% of them are pretty cool.
5th thought: ok, let’s meet one!
6th thought: Ah!
